DESCRIPTION:Kept in shed for over 50 years this rare late 1940's SUN MANXMAN SPEED Isle of Man TT road race bike is completely original with no repairs or replacement parts.. It was designed and made at the height of English bike manufacturing and designed for speed around the Isle of Man TT circuit which my grandfather raced around few times. Reynolds 531 straight gauge frame tubing with stiffened struts behind the bottom bracket (this was to shorten the wheel base), also semi curly lugs, Cyclo Benelux gears, wide flange hubs with rear flip flop hub for speed gear or fixed single wheel, Britannialloy pump, Sun leather saddle by Wrights, leotard pedals and more
